Abstract: |
In this paper we examine the impact of firms’ market capability on firms’ engagement in political strategies in private listed Chinese firms, and find that firm’s market capability positively related to their individual political strategies and have a U-shaped relationship with their collective political strategies. Moreover, the positively linear relationship is stronger in provinces that have lower levels of government expropriation and in Industries with high concentration; the U-shaped curvilinear relationship is weaker in provinces that have lower levels of government expropriation and in Industries with high concentration. |
