Abstract: |
Drawing on the career construction model of adaption, a meta-analytic path analysis was performed. The model we tested included a sequence ranging across adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, adapting responses, and adaptation results. Results suggested that career construction model of adaption provided adequate fit to the data. In addition, we examined alternative paths through which social support, as contextual factor, might influences the sequences of transition. Good fit was found for a model in which social support is linked to adaptation results both directly and indirectly via adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, and adapting responses. Results are discussed in terms of their fit with the career construction model of adaption, implications, future research, and practical efforts to facilitate transition。 |
