Abstract: |
This study tried to investigate how paternalistic leadership will influence employee creativity via meaning of work (MOW), and the moderating effect of perspective taking for the indirect effect of paternalistic leadership on employee creativity via MOW. Data were collected from 346 sets of matched samples from the employees and their supervisors. Results revealed that MOW mediates the relationship between all three dimensions of paternalistic leadership (i.e. authoritarianism, benevolence, and morality) and employee creativity. And perspective taking moderates the indirect effect of benevolence and morality on employee creativity through MOW, but not for authoritarianism. |
