Abstract: |
Job crafting is employees’ proactive adjustments towards the boundaries of their jobs, including expansion and contraction oriented job crafting. Based on the sociological perspective, we theorized a curvilinear moderated mediation model which links employee’s job crafting, partner’s workload and work engagement. Using a data of 114 employees, we demonstrated that employee’s job crafting had a U-shaped relationship with partner’s workload and partner’s workload conveyed the indirect effect of employee’s job crafting on partner’s engagement. Task interdependence moderated the curvilinear relationship between employee’s job crafting and partner’s workload. We discussed the theoretical and practical implications of this research. |
