Abstract: |
According to conservation of resources theory, this study investigated the mechanisms of the work connectivity–turnover intention relationship, and examined the boundary condition about how to alleviate the negative effect. Based on a sample of 325 employees collected at multiple times in China, results showed that work connectivity was positively associated with emotional exhaustion and turnover intention, and the positive relationship from work connectivity to turnover intention was mediated by emotional exhaustion. Further, work connectivity lead to less emotional exhaustion when the level of work-life balance was higher. |
