Abstract: |
Humanistic management, as a form of management that focuses on the welfare of the people, is directly affected by the culture of the society in which it is practiced more than any other forms of management, because societies have different perspectives of people’s welfare and fundamental purposes of businesses. This paper explores the connection between Confucianism humanism and Chinese humanistic management, using two companies that apply Confucian values into their management practices as examples; and proposed a theoretical model based on that and review of the humanistic literature. Propositions are discussed for future empirical research. |
